Staff development that improves the learning of all students provides educators with knowledge and skills to involve families and other stakeholders appropriately.
Every child enters the classroom with a different family experience. Parents participate in a child’s education in a variety of ways ranging from help on nightly homework to assuming active roles in the school’s Parent Association. Schools play an equally significant role in a child’s development. Creating unique learning experiences that both challenge and inspire learners remains the charge set before teachers today. Enabling children with the power to benefit from daily learning opportunities requires a supportive relationship between schools and parents.
Our Seminars provide participants with specific examples, tailored to meet the individual needs of your organization, with the goal of creating achievable goals and objectives that lead toward productive parent-school partnerships and sustainable student achievement.
After attending our seminars, participants identify and take action on key ideas that lead to increased student achievement and rewarding relationships with their parent community.
We offer customized seminars for educational institutions that value the importance of promoting sustainable parent-school partnerships.
Staff Development Offerings:
Level 1 - Building Positive Parent-School Partnerships Seminar
This intensive, single-day seminar delivers a series of practical strategies that participants can implement immediately. Through a combination of lecture, discussion and action-based activities, participants connect the seminar concepts to real-world situations on route to developing their own action plan for achievement.
Level 2 - Building Positive Parent-School Partnerships
This 4-day event includes the following services:
- Day 1: Building Positive Parent-School Partnerships Seminar
- Days 2 – 4: On-site, strategic planning sessions with key leaders in your organization who value the importance of creating an action plan for sustainable parent-school partnerships. Two, 3-4 hour planning sessions may be scheduled each day.
Start your academic or calendar year by bringing your staff to the Building Positive Parent-School Partnerships Seminar, before moving into a series of more intensive, individual coaching sessions with key leaders and faculty members. The Level 2 program is designed for schools and districts who stress the importance of maintaining a cohesive and consistent approach while also identifying that team leaders play an integral role in motivating long-term success.
Level 3 - Building Positive Parent-School Partnerships
Designed for long-term, sustainable growth, the Level 3 program begins with a full day seminar for school site staff and leadership before moving into two days of one-on-one strategic planning sessions with key leaders in the district and at individual school sites. The three-day kickoff event lays the foundation for a year long program of positive growth in parent participation and student achievement.
Midway through the school year, we return to check-in. During the two-day follow up we meet with key leaders and school site staff to acknowledge success, evaluate progress and plan for the remaining months of the school year.
Prior to the conclusion of your academic year, we return for a final visit to assess progress on year long objectives, revisit your vision statement and set a course for sustainable progress and achievement in the year to come.
From beginning to end, regardless of the seminar or program you choose, our goal is the same—to create a highly engaging experience, designed specifically to meet the needs of your school and parent community.
We look forward to working with you. We would be delighted to create a program for your group and organize a series of events that puts them in a position for long-term success.
Sincerely,
Joe Bruzzese
