After speaking with Jessica Meyers, reporter for the Dallas Morning News, I contacted Stafford Middle School Principal Robin Scott to recognize her effort and leadership. Following their inaugural year Stafford teachers have hit the streets once again to visit each of the school’s incoming sixth grade students. The effort to build the parent-school partnership is a monumental move forward at the middle school level. The story is gaining national attention now in what I think will set a precedent for what is possible in our nation’s middle schools.
