Show #132– “Middle School Parent Book Review – The Overachievers”

Given the number of families and kids I know, who fit this profile, my next book might have a similar theme. For now, you will need to read Alexandra Robbins’s version. A wonderful story that chronologs the lives of children as they move from middle school and into the high school years, before finally transitioning to college. I’m recommending this book to all middle and high school parents, particularly those with kids who tend to float toward the overachiever end of the spectrum.

Show #130 – “Book Review – Middle School Confidential. Wonderful book for middle schoolers”

Fellow author Annie Fox (www.AnnieFox.com) shared her upcoming manuscript with me from book two of the Middle School Confidential Series. After having read (and loved) the first book I was eagerly awaiting book two. Number two in the series adds a new level of interest on a highly engaging topic for middle schoolers—peer relationships. You have heard me talk about the importance of finding and maintaining healthy friendships during the middle school years, so it should come as no surprise that I highly recommend this book for any kids making their way through the often, rocky path of peer relationships.
