Ideas to consider

As a catholic school survivor myself I can tell you the group of peers grows smaller and closer by the year. Junior high can be a great time to make the break from the small catholic school to a somewhat larger school setting where your daughter would have access to a larger peer group.

The challenge though with any change is moving forward into the unknown which can be more difficult than staying with what you know even when it hurts to be there.

Have you visited any of the local public schools or private schools in your area? Now, is a wonderful time to begin window shopping. If you do decide to make the move, after shopping and having a heart to heart with you daughter about the move, consider working with a coach who can help ease your transition to junior high by providing you with some tools for succeeding in a larger school environment.
